LAINS runs structured volunteer programs spanning from environmental clean-ups in Gweru to youth mentorship in Chiwundura. Whether you are a student, a working professional, or a member of the Zimbabwean diaspora wanting to stay connected to home, there is a place for you here. No experience required. Just the willingness to show up.
In January 2025, Freedom walked into a LAINS orientation session in Gweru not knowing a single person in the room. He had just finished University and was not sure what came next. 3 months later, he was co-leading a team of 12 volunteers on a green Gweru project across Mutapa suburb.
That is what happens when you volunteer with LAINS. You do not just clock hours but you also build skills, you find a community, and you discover something about yourself that classroom time rarely show you.
"I came to give and ended up receiving so much more. The leadership skills I built at LAINS opened doors I did not even know existed." Sharon, Chiwundura Rabitts Program
